USA East Coast

After our wonderful USA West Coast holiday in 2012, we decided to start saving up for a tour of the East Coast in 2014. Despite concerns that there would be too much driving, we decided on the following route: New York, Niagara Falls, Washington, Blue Ridge Mountains, Orlando, Miami, Carribean Cruise, Everglades, flying back from Miami.

New York

The city that never sleeps....

Carnival Carribean Cruise

From Miami, visiting Grand Cayman, Beliz, ...

After a few days in NYC, we drove up to the Niagara Falls, before meandering down the east coast, to Miami.

After our Carrieban Cruise, we did a whistle-stop tour of the Everglades, before catching a connecting flight from Miami to New York, to fly home.

NewYork

Statue of liberty, Empire State Building, Central Partk, 5th Avenue, Macy's, Grand Central Station, Greenwich Village, Times Square, United Nations Building and a baseball game in the Yankee Stadium.... then it was time for a holiday!

Niagara Falls

Up close on the "Maid of the Mists"

Washington D.C

Imposing state buildings looked theri best with blue skies and siunshine, museums & art galleries offered impressive exhibits and welcome cool reprieve from the city heat.

The Blue Rifge Mountains of Verginia

... on the trail of the lonesome pine.

Savannah & Vero Beach

A flavour of the southern states

Miami

We didn't see Miami Vice, but half expected to in some of the less-luxurious parts!

Carribean Cruise on the Carnival party-ship

Dream beaches, Stingray City from Grand Caymen, snorkelling on the world's 2nd largest barrier reef off Belize, a Mexican Tequiila distilley and Aztec ruins on Cozumel were just some of the highlights of this amzing cruise.

Everglades

Mangrove swamps and Gators galore!
