Stoneman Tours

Roland Stauder, ex-Bike Cross-Country World Champion, has defined 5 MTB tours, all roughly 150KM and 4400HM, in 5 of the most beuatiful mountain regions of Europe. 4 down, one to go! We did each tour in 2 days (silver) but on e-bikes (so "stone" not silver). Nevertheless, hard work & long days!

"The World Natural Heritage of the Three Peaks, the mystical dark forest of the Ore Mountains, the breathtaking panoramas in the Salzburg Sport World, the fascinating Aletsch Glacier in the Swiss Valais and the enchanting forests of the Belgian Ardennes – every Stoneman is unique, the principle always the same: you are your own benchmark on the exclusive circuits.

Whether in one, two or three days – choose your own date within the season and experience a profound biking adventure."

Dolomiti

The original stoneman tour, with the amazing Demut-Passage: We stayed at Caravanpark Sexton. We had a chat with originator and living legend Roland Stauder at the Stoneman shop on arrival, then met him, by chance, on the Demut trail.

Glaciara

In the majestic Engadin region of the Swiss Alps, the Glaciara Stoneman includes wonderful views of the Aletsch Glacier with flowy and sometimes quite gnarly trails. Andre & I did the tour, based in Camping Tunetsch, Mörel.

Taurista

The Austrian Stoneman passes by (or through) Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Radstadt, Forstau, Filzmoos und Obertauern. Terry & I did the tour from Camping Passrucker in Altenmarkt, Pongau, in the same week as the Dolomiti.

Miriqidi

In the Erzgebirge, from the Sportpark Rabenberg, during a wet week in early July 2024, we were lucky enough to avoid rain when riding... except for the thunderstorm which hit us 15 minutes from home!.
