From the 27th May to the 17th June Esther, Josie and I travelled around southern Norway in our camper van.
We drove from Baldham to Hirtshals, intending to take the fast ferry to Kristiansand, but we had to re-book on a bigger boat, as the departure got cancelled due to storms. For all pictures, see google fotos.

Very touristy, but an absolute highlight!

Although our fast ferry was cancelled, due to storms, we could re-book onto a slower ferry with a cabin on the same day. It gave us a little time to have a look around Hirtshals, which didn't take long.
Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. The city is the fifth-largest and the municipality the sixth-largest in Norway, with a population of around 112,000 as of January 2020, following the incorporation of the municipalities of Søgne and Songdalen into the greater Kristiansand municipality. We stayed at the well-run Åros campsite, which had a nice beach, nice walks and within biking-distance of Kristiansand.

Just passing through... we arrived on the coast road and didn't spend much time in Stavanger.
The coast road includes numerous tunnels and ferries: fares charged automatically, so no time wasted booking tickets :-)
Nice views from the top of the cable car. ...and it's an attractive town, with pretty port and many seafood restaurants.
Sognefjord is 205 KM long.
We left the Womo for a day, enjoying both the majestic glacier, fascinating musuem... and not having to drive.
An absolute highlight, but best visited outside the high season!

Scenic town, with many stone buildings, an impressive panoramic viewpoint over the surrounding islands, and a lovely open-air museum, showing Norwegian buildings over the centuries.
