The A838 took us round Loch Eriboll, then past Rispond to Smoo Cave. 

The cave was well worth a visit: next time we'll do the guided tour. After coffee and cakes we headed on to Sango Sands, by Durness. the campsite is perched on the cliffs, with wonderful views over the bay and Faraig peninsula. 

We couldn't tear ourselves away from this wonderful place, staying 2 nights.

I did 2 MTB rides, one around the headland, one onto the moors, towards the local peaks
